Bosse Live Instructors

Ron Bosse | Ensemble Instructor
Ron has dedicated his entire life to the pursuit of music. With deep roots in Rock, Blues and Jazz, he began studying music as a child with saxophone, composition and took many years of guitar lessons, before graduating from Berklee College of Music. Ron spent years establishing himself as an expert by touring as a guitarist, recording artist and educator in the U.S. & Canada alongside the biggest names in Jazz and Education. In 2004, drawing from valuable pedagogical and performing experience, he founded Bosse School of Music in Weymouth MA, which quickly became the South Shore’s premier establishment for music education, surpassing conservatories and studios statewide. Additionally, Ron plays and teaches bass and is the lead recording engineer at Bosse Studios, located at BSM.

Brent Beissel | Ensemble Instructor
After lengthy musical studies during his early years, Brent moved to Boston from PA to join Beantown’s vibrant music scene. Brent earned both his degree in Drums and his piano proficiency at Berklee College of Music. Brent’s work can be heard on the recordings of dozens of Rock, Jazz & Country acts since 2003. Some performance credits include drumming for Boston’s own “Margin Walker” and guitar virtuoso Ethan Brosh and lecturing as Guest Clinician at the renowned Berklee Percussion Festival. A versatile teacher, Brent crafts well-rounded drum lessons addressing everything from time and reading, to advanced technique for experienced drummers. Students enrolled in piano lessons enjoy Brent’s clear cut approach to note-reading and musical development.

Dan Ristuccia | Ensemble Instructor
Dan has been performing in various groups since the age of 13. While performances were geared toward the popular music of his youth (Punk, Grunge etc), Dan had always had his ear drawn toward the sound of the blues. Dan went on to enroll at the prestigious Berklee College of Music where he earned his degree in Guitar Performance. Studying with guitar greats such as Scott Tarulli and Julien Kasper, Dan realized the importance of transcribing and writing as a means to become the player you want to be. Since then he has performed and recorded with acts such as Boston’s own “Margin Walker”, New York’s “Alana Amram and the Rough Gems” London Songwriter “Saul Ashby”, and as a solo artist on the National Resonator guitar, bringing his own voice to his performances every time.

Michael Dobiel | Ensemble Instructor
Mike’s early musical exposure began with saxophone study at age ten, expanding into bass guitar, and later, brass instruments as well. Mike earned a B.A. in Saxophone Performance and Composition studying under Theodore Levine at Westfield State College. There, he performed as a solo artist, and as a group member in the Wind Symphony under the baton of Karen Lavoie. In 2009, Mike earned his M.M. in Composition from the University of Louisville. His dedication and saxophone expertise ensured Mike spots in various Improv groups and an overseas tour with “Serious Play”, a U.S. theatre company. A regular performer on the Boston scene, Mike has valuable professional and educational experience to share with students, from basic rudiments to advanced improvisation.
